Addison's Easter egg!! (at the North Loop kids playground)

We have had a busy couple weeks with Easter and then Nana and Papa in town!
Addison really enjoyed egg hunting this year! Daddy and Addie attended the North Loop kids egg hunt on Saturday the 7th (even in the bitter cold) this year. Addison got an egg filled with candy! We also did a little egg hunting here in the house with eggs filled with Addison's favorite fruit snacks. She really enjoyed finding the eggs, gathering them in her bucket, and then dumping them all out again and again! She got some new Spring/summer clothes and books from Opa and Jojo, a new outfit and bathing suit from Nana and Papa, and some summer clothes and new craft supplies from mommy and daddy! On Easter Sunday, we had plans to attend a brunch at Dakota Jazz Club...but unfortunately daddy was on call, which forced us to cancel these plans. It was ok though...we made up for it with a nice relaxing lunch at the Lowry (one of our favorite places)! Addison wore her beautiful Easter dress from Nanny (see pics below!)
Last week we drove to Chaska, MN one day to visit one of mommy's friend's newborn babies! Addison loved seeing the baby, and was very gentle and kind! It was cute to see her interact! She even got a little jealous when mommy held the baby and wanted "up, up" on the couch next to mommy immediately!
Nana and Papa arrived on the 12th and stayed until the 17th.....we had a relaxing few days playing with them! They got to visit Minneapolis Institute of Art and Addison's music class at McPhail! They enjoyed some time on Friday getting Addison all to themselves when mommy and daddy were at work...and absolutely loved bonding with her! We had some fun dinners and breakfasts out! We appreciated all of their help as well....cooking delicious food and keeping the house tidy! Such a wonderful visit.
Addison is talking, singing and running constantly lately! The potty continues to be of much entertainment to Addison, as we sit on the potty (only when she asks), but at least a couple times/day. Addison has taken a new interest in learning to get dressed and undressed independently! Yesterday, she took her shirt and pants off at least three times during the day.....cute and funny......lets just hope she doesn't try this at daycare! :-) haha!
Daddy leaves for San Diego today for a conference, so mommy, Addie and Wally will be hanging out together the next four days! We will miss Daddy!

Where has the time gone??!!! It is already April 4th and almost a month past my last post!
Addison has had a busy month!
We have been enjoying the warmer weather with tons of time walking outside with Wally, and running around the playground! Addison loves to walk along the river and go on the bumpy slide and swing at the park. We spend most afternoons outside these days!
On cooler days we have ventured to Williston Park a couple of times for the indoor climbing equipment and the splash pad-so much fun! Our friends Ali and Levi introduced us to this fun place. Addison loves the turtle that spits water and the water slide! We have also been back to Choo Choo Bobs for storytime and more train table play again! Addison really enjoys choo-choos these days! We also still have our music class at McPhail on Mondays and our regular neighborhood playgroup on Wednesday afternoons. Definitely staying busy!
Addison is talking up a storm.....at her 18 month birthday I made a list of her 40 or so words, and it has already grown! She is so proud of her new vocabulary, and it definitely makes life easier to understand her needs! :-) Some of Addison's favorite words are "trees" and "shoes" lately....on our walks outside she identifies each tree as we pass by-hysterical!
As a family we have been busy with a few birthday parties for friends, barbeques with friends, a date night for mommy and daddy, and family visiting!
Opa and Jojo just left this morning after spending the past 4 days here with us! Addison had so much fun showing off her new tricks and they loved watching very minute of it! :-) Wally also enjoyed having his brother, Lager, in town!
Addison met a huge milestone on Sunday morning! She has been sitting on her potty seat regularly (whenever she asks) as practice lately, but nothing productive had happened until........Sunday morning she said "poo-poo" and amazingly enough she actually performed when I placed her on the seat! Of course, we were all so excited that we carried on for at least 10 minutes in the bathroom!!!
Enjoy the pictures from the last few weeks!!! and I promise to be better in the next couple of months at updating the blog! :-)
